One hundred and fifty lucky Chicagoans will be selected to attend one of two intimate concert experiences presented by WBEZ on the evening of Thursday, September 25, 2025! The exact show times and concert location will remain a secret until the week of the event. 

No donation or membership is necessary to win. However, participants can receive entries by making donations to Chicago Public Media as set forth below. With federal funding for public media eliminated, your generosity today is essential for the road ahead.

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE OR DONATION WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. 

ELIGIBILITY: You must be a legal U.S. resident at least 18 years of age physically residing in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, or Wisconsin to enter or win. Employees of Chicago Public Media, Inc. (“CPM”) or its affiliates, and the immediate family (parent, spouse, sibling, child, grandparent, grandchild) and household members of all such employees, are NOT eligible. Void outside Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Wisconsin and where prohibited by law. 

SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD: The Jeff Tweedy Concert Sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes”) begins at 9:00 a.m. Central Time (CT) on Thursday, September 11 and ends at noon CT on Thursday, September 18, 2025 (“Sweepstakes Period”).

HOW TO ENTER: There are two methods of entry:

(1) Entry via donation/pledge: Participants who make a donation or pledge to CPM online using the ticket giveaway donation form will be automatically entered into the Sweepstakes. To make a donation on-line, visit http://donate.wbez.org/secure/cet-events-form-jeff-tweedy-ticket-giveaway 

Donate for Entry:

For a donation of $1 to $24, you will receive 1 to 24 entries, matching your dollar amount donation. 

For a donation of $25 to $49, you will receive 25 to 49 entries in the Sweepstakes, matching your dollar amount donation, and can receive a WBEZ Vintage Keychain.

For a donation of $50 to $74, you will receive 50 to 74 entries in the Sweepstakes, matching your dollar amount donation, and can receive a White Chicago Flag Mug or WBEZ Vintage Keychain

For a donation of $75 to $99, you will receive 75 to 99 entries in the Sweepstakes, matching your dollar amount donation, and can receive a 17oz WBEZ Red Glass Water Bottle, White Chicago Flag Mug or WBEZ Vintage Keychain 

For a donation of $100 to $200, you will receive a Limited Edition Screen Print Concert Poster (run of 300, while supplies last) and 100 to 200 entries in the Sweepstakes, matching your dollar amount donation.

(2) Alternative Free Method of Entry: To enter the Sweepstakes without making a donation/pledge, visit https://page.wbez.org/tweedy-amoe/ and accurately complete the online entry form.  You will receive 10 entries when you complete and submit the online form.

All entries must be submitted and received during the Sweepstakes Period. Limit 200 entries per person, regardless of method of entry. CPM is not responsible for lost, late, illegible, corrupted, or misdirected entries. Automatic or pre-programmed entries are prohibited. Compliance with the entry requirements will be determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Entries that violate, as determined by the Sponsor, in its sole discretion, these entry requirements or do not meet the entry deadlines will be disqualified from the Sweepstakes. All received entries are the property of CPM and are not returnable.

SELECTION OF THE WINNERS: Winners will be selected by random drawing from among all eligible entries received. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. CPM will attempt to notify potential winners by e-mail at the e-mail address provided on or about September 18, 2025, and potential winners will be required to respond by Sunday, September 21 at 10:00 PM CT. Affidavit of eligibility, prize acceptance form, tax information, publicity release, and/or mutually acceptable liability releases may be required and, if so, must be returned within reasonable time specified by CPM. If a potential winner does not meet the deadline set forth above, if any prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, if potential winner is not in compliance with the Official Rules (including eligibility requirements), and/or if potential winner fails to sign and return any required documents or provide required identification by the deadlines set by Sponsor, that potential winner may be disqualified and the prize forfeited and an alternate potential winner may be selected by random drawing from among remaining eligible, non-winning entrants, time permitting.   

PRIZES AND APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUES:
One Hundred Fifty (150) winners will be selected to receive two tickets to see one of two Jeff Tweedy concert performances on September 25, 2025 (the “Concert”) at a location in Chicago to be disclosed the week of the Concert. The two designated show times are 7:30 PM & 9:00 PM; these times are subject to change and will be communicated to winners the week of the Concert. Entry in the Sweepstakes includes both show times. Winners will be selected for only one of the two performances.

Sponsor will attempt to contact potential winners on Thursday, September 18, with the general location and show time. Winners who RSVP’d “YES” will receive the exact location and show information no more than 36 hours before the event. No physical tickets will be issued. The approximate retail value (“ARV”) of each prize is $500. The total ARV of all prizes is $75,000.

Seat location at the Concert is in the sole discretion of CPM. Concert tickets are subject to terms and conditions thereon. If winner is unable to attend the Concert on the specified date at the specified time at the specified location, prize will be forfeited, and no alternate prize will be awarded. Taxes on prize are the sole responsibility of the winners. Prizes are non-transferable and no substitution or cash equivalent is allowed except in CPM’s sole discretion. CPM reserves the right to substitute prizes of the same approximate retail value. For prizes $600 or more in value, winner’s social security number or taxpayer identification number will be required in order to issue a Form 1099-MISC showing prize ARV as income to winner. Prize consists only of items specifically listed as part of the prize. All costs and expenses not specified herein, related to any prize, including but not limited to any expenses incurred by accepting the prize, are the sole responsibility of the winner. Limit one prize per person. All properly claimed prizes will be awarded provided a sufficient number of eligible entries are received, but in no event will CPM award more prizes than are provided for under these Official Rules.

WINNERS LIST: A list of winners will be posted to CPM’s website at wbez.org/winners by September 25, 2025.

PUBLICITY RELEASE: Except where prohibited, acceptance of a prize constitutes winner’s consent that winner’s name, likeness, voice and/or biographical data may be used for advertising and promotional purposes without limitation and without additional notice, compensation, or consent.

RELEASE: By entering, participant agrees to accept and abide by the Official Rules of this Sweepstakes and agrees that any dispute with regard to the conduct of this Sweepstakes, rule interpretation, or award of prize must be submitted to CPM, whose decision shall be binding and final. By participating, participant agrees to release and hold harmless CPM and its affiliates and its and their respective officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives as well as any person or entity that donates to CPM any prize awarded pursuant to this Sweepstakes from any injury, loss or damage to person, including death, or property due in-whole or in-part, directly or indirectly, to the acceptance or use/misuse of a prize, participation in any Sweepstakes-related activity, or participation in the Sweepstakes.

CPM is not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of these Official Rules, administration of the Sweepstakes or in the announcement of prizes, including erroneous appearance of qualification for a prize, and under no circumstances will more than the stated number of prizes be awarded. 

GENERAL: This Sweepstakes is intended for viewing in the United States only and shall be construed and evaluated only according to United States law. Do not enter this Sweepstakes if you are not located in the United States. CPM assumes no responsibility for computer system, hardware, software or program malfunctions or other errors, failures, delayed computer transactions or network connections, whether human, technical or otherwise in nature. CPM reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend this Sweepstakes should virus, bugs or other causes beyond its control corrupt the administration, security or proper play of this Sweepstakes. If CPM does so, CPM will award prizes by random drawing from among all eligible, non-suspect entries received as of the termination, and CPM will announce its action on the CPM website. CPM is not responsible for any injury or damage to any person’s computer or related equipment resulting from or relating to participation in this Sweepstakes or downloading any material related to this Sweepstakes. Entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry. In the event of a dispute, the potential winner may be required to provide proof that he or she is the authorized holder of the identified e-mail account. CPM reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes; violates the Official Rules; acts in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner; or acts in an annoying, abusive, threatening, or harassing manner. If a dispute arises regarding compliance with these Official Rules, CPM may consider, in its sole discretion, data reasonably available to CPM through information technology systems in CPM’s control, but CPM will not be obligated to consider any data or other information collected from any other source. Any failure by CPM to enforce any of these Official Rules will not constitute a waiver of such Official Rules. If there is a conflict between any term of these Official Rules and any marketing or other materials used in connection with the Sweepstakes, the terms of these Official Rules will govern. 

DISPUTES/CHOICE OF LAW:  Except where prohibited, each participant agrees that: (1) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes or any prize awarded must be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by state or federal courts situated in Chicago, IL, (2) any and all claims, judgments and awards will be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, but in no event attorneys' fees; and (3) no punitive, incidental, special, consequential or other damages, including without limitation, lost profits, may be awarded (collectively, “Special Damages”), and (4) entrant hereby waives all rights to claim Special Damages and all rights to have such damages multiplied or increased. Illinois law, without reference to choice of law rules, governs the Sweepstakes and all aspects related thereto. 

PRIVACY: Personally identifiable information that is submitted by entrants will be used to administer the sweepstakes, select prize winner, and fulfill prize, and will be treated in accordance with CPM’s Privacy Policy accessible at https://www.wbez.org/chicago-public-media-privacy-policy

CPM may share your name and email address with WBEZ, CST, and the prize providers and artist partners associated with this experience.
